facebook like box widget does not work

  getting the following error message – ( Could not retrieve the specified page. Please verify correct href was passed in ) with facebook like box widget using my facebook group page – http://www.facebook.com/groups/thefarmersmarket/. please help

  Hi there – this is very likely because the link you have is for a “group”. And your plugin may only work for “pages”. Ive got the same problem and im trying to find a plugin that will let me have a likebox for a group :)

  The Facebook like box widget found here > Appearance > Settings is for Fan pages.

  This is me again using my other username account. I don’t know of any likebox for grous that we can use on free hosted WordPress.com blogs. Sorry. :(

  Yes, it only works for pages. You can’t LIKE a group at all: you can only Join it, and there is no Join widget code.

  ahhh of course!! thanks raincoaster good point :) … I need a “find us on facebook” link dont I :)
