Facebook like button – i've ready heaps about it but…

  Adding Facebook Like Button. Started my first sewing blog just 3 days ago. Veeery slowly understanding ‘how to’. Do I understand correctly that as I have a wordpress.com blog (sewrmaciwi.wordpress.com) I cannot add Plug-Ins ? I need a .org for this to happen? OK. What I’m trying to do is simply (yeah) add Facebook Like to my Sidebar but from what I have read I need a Facebook ‘Page’ (not a Facebook profile like I have). I must have something wrong because my blog is not a business so why would I need a Facebook Page (business) in order for ‘Like’ to work?

  I’m assuming then if someone clicked the ‘Like’ button their Facebook page will show all new posts from my blog?

  Howdy, we do have a few ways of adding Facebook integration on to your site. For the like box specifically, though, you would need to have a Facebook page, not just a profile.

  thanks Andrew. Yeah I already have the facebook like button on each blog – assuming this is the ‘Share this’ buttons – I set that all up already. It looks like I’m needing the Facebook Like Box, where it is easily for people to click, and it shows everyones picture. Looks like I need a Facebook Page.

  Yep, if you want a Facebook Like box, you’ll net to set up a Facebook page and start accumulating likes. :-)
