Facebook "like" button not appearing on posts (or on home page)
-
I’m sure there’s a straightforward answer to this, but after spending 90 minutes reading and re-reading the official WP.com pages on “Sharing” options + the support forum’s posts from users, I cannot figure out
a.) How to get the Facebook “like” button to appear on my posts. I’ve moved the FB icon to my “Enabled Services” area (under Settings/Sharing) but there is no visible option to select the “like” buttons. Only “share” shows up.
I tried the instructions here
but no arrow appears (hovering, right click, nada) to select between displaying the “like” vs. “share” button:(
b.) How to get any “like” buttons (WP or FB) to appear beneath the posts on the home and archive pages. (It does appear on the individual post pages, but I want readers to be able to “like” my most recent post without having to click through to it’s individual page.)
Any help would be appreciated!

At Settings -> Sharing in your blog’s Dashboard, you’ll need to select to have the buttons appear on “Posts, Pages, and Index Pages.”
The WordPress.com Like button will only appear on the single post views.

Sorry – this doesn’t answer my question.
I can’t get the Facebook “like” button to appear AT ALL anywhere on my posts (home or individual pages). “Share” is the only Facebook option that appears to be controlled via the Settings/Sharing page.
And I’ve already selected the option you suggest.

Sorry about that. Yes, a Facebook Like button is not an option at this time, but we are looking into it.
