Facebook "Like" statistics disappeared

  Hello, I just noticed all my facebook “like” statistics, the quantity, has disappeared on all my posts. I have not changed anything. Where did these go, and how do I get them back? I went into the sharing area, but did not see any settings I could go in to figure this out myself.

  You added a domain to your blog last month. More than likely, this is when the count disappeared.

  Facebook only associates the share count with the specific URL. Once you changed your domain, you changed that URL, thus starting a new count on their end.

  I don’t think this is the case, because I added the domain name at the beginning when I first started the blog, and before I added any posts at all. I have had 5 posts, and all have had facebook “like” statistics logged until I noticed the change today, and I’m pretty sure they were there yesterday.

  So something must have changed, but I personally have not made any alterations to the site. So are you thinking those stats from past posts are gone but new posts will start collecting them again? Do you think this is something that changed on facebooks end?

  Any more clarification would be appreciated. I try to be self-sufficient but some of this is confusing!

  Oh, and these appear to be back right now, I just rechecked! So maybe this is ok now?!

  It must be. :)

  This is all controlled on Facebook’s end, we really have no control over it.
