facebook "like" widget error message

When clicking and dragging the facebook like widget to the header right and sidebar boxes, I get the following error message:
“There was an error fetching the like box for the specified page.”
Yes. My facebook URL is in the URL space.
Not sure what title WP is looking for, but I’ve experimented with both filling in a title and leaving that blank. Neither proves successful.
What am I doing wrong?
If you have idiot-proof instructions, please respond.
