Facebook "Likes" box query

  Just a quick query.

  I’ve just started a new FB page for my blog and added the “Like” button/box widget to the blog. I apparently have 6 likes so far but only three faces show up in the box. I know at least two of the other likes from FB have avatars so why are they not showing in the box? There is plenty of room…

  Could it be the fact that all widgets display cached data so there is a time delay in display and that not enough time has passed for the others to display?

  Thanks for the quick reply.

  I honestly don’t know. I’m not a real tech-head type which is why I came here to ask. ;)

  Perhaps I should wait until tomorrow and report back then?

  People may also have their FB settings locked down so other people they’re not Friends with don’t see their avatars.

  Okay, I’ve left it for 24 hours and no change. I know that 5 of the 7 likes are from FB and are friends so their avatars should show surely?

  Any ideas?

  Not necessarily. Their avatars should never show outside of Facebook unless they have privacy settings such that their profile picture is public. If it’s viewable to just friends, it still wont’ be displayed on a public site, even to their friends.

  I wanted to connect my personal Facebook account to my WordPress blog but it would seem this is impossible to do.. can anyone shed any light?

  Just discovered that one of the links for the pics in the like box (the third one) doesn’t even work!

  If you hover over it the link that appears reads: “http://www.facebook.com/plugins/likebox.php?href=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2FMIBsInstantHeadache&width=210&colorscheme=light&show_faces=true&stream=false&header=false&height=432#”

  While the other two link directly to the relative FB profiles!!

  My FB like box has suddenly gone mad and has now duplicated all the pics inside it! :o
