Facebook likes have disappeared from my blog

  Hello, I have successfully connected my blog to my Facebook & Twitter accounts. My recent blog postings have attracted on average 50 likes from Facebook, but for some reason, they have disappeared from my blog during the last week. Can you please re-instate these ‘likes’ to those postings? Thank you

  Hello!

  Can you confirm it is not a browser issue by switching to a different browser? Also, can you confirm it is not a caching issue by clearing your cache.

  Also, is there a post in question in which the likes have disappeared from?

  Thank you for your advice. I have followed the instructions to clear caches. The 2 blog posts which have lost their Facebook ‘likes’ are – (a) 14 Oct, 48 Facebook ‘likes’ disappeared and (b) 30 Sept, 56 Facebook ‘likes’ disappeared. As my blog supports my business, it would be helpful to get these ‘likes’ back again. Do you know how to do this?

  Are those the only two posts in questions that lost their Facebook likes?
  I understand also, that you have connected your Facebook to your page. While we wait for staff, can you confirm if you have attempted a dis-connect/re-connect to Facebook? It could just require a re-set.

  Yes, it is just for those 2 posts. I have followed your advice and done the disconnect / reconnect thing but it does not seem to have re-instated those Facebook likes

  Did you recently change the URL or slug of those posts? This would ‘unlink’ that post from Facebook’s stats.

  Hi, thanks for your query. No, I did not change the URL or slug for those 2 post. I actually don’t even know how to do that. Are you able to reinstate those Facebook likes for those 2 posts? It would be helpful for my business & for the 2 artists whose work I am promoting in those posts.

  Unfortunately, we just use the page’s URL to grab that information from Facebook itself. If you haven’t changed the URL, then you’ll need to contact Facebook about the missing likes.
