Facebook liking and sharing individual photos in a gallery
-
Hello, My name is Elliot Haney, and I am managing city year’s art of idealism competition. we have the competition hosted on a WordPress site at http://www.artofidealism.com. I have added custom CSS and custom fonts, so all of that is available to me. I was wondering if there is a way to be able to add functionality to individually like or individually share a single image within each gallery. we are going to be adding public voting, and we would like to have each participant into the competition be able to share their individual photos or pieces of art on their social networks. you are able to obviously copy the link into Facebook and share it that way, but it doesn’t allow you to actually choose which photo to share, we would love to be able to allow our participants to be able to share their individual photo. I was thinking something along the line of adding like, share, or tweet buttons to each photo in the lightbox if possible?
thank you very much in advance for any tips or advice you would be able to give me. Also any other ideas would also be greatly appreciated if any come to mind.
sincerely,
Elliot Haney

If you add a gallery to a page or post, you can ‘like’ individual images. Please review this guide on how to enable the ‘like’ feature.
Otherwise you can create a new post for each image, and place all the posts under the same category (e.g: competition).
