Facebook link using images from instagram widget instead of featured image

  Hello,

  I include a featured image in my posts so that when they are shared to Facebook, the featured image is on display in the link.

  Lately, Facebook has not been using the featured image. Instead, it has been taking photos that I recently post to Instagram (these are photos that I have never uploaded to the Image Library – Facebook must be taking them from the Instagram widget I have on the ‘Diary’ page of my site).

  What can I do to fix this???

  Any ideas? I have found that if I disable the Instagram widget, Facebook goes back to choosing the post’s featured image (as it should), but as soon as I re-enable the widget, Facebook goes back to choosing the same Instagram photo rather than the featured image.
