Facebook not updating

  Hi there, I have edited my blog and the title too … it shows up fine on WordPress but when i hit the button to share on facebook – it has the old title and content — what gives?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  I will be happy to help you with this question!

  The issue you are experiencing has something to do with Facebook Cache. Cache is a component that stores data so future requests for that data can be served faster; the data stored in a cache might be the result of an earlier computation. That means that If you tried to share your site on Facebook when it didn’t have title yet, Facebook remembered that link and saved it’s preview in it’s cache. Every time you would try to share the link again (even if the content of it had been changed – e.g. added title), Facebook wouldn’t see the change and will just fetch the original link preview (without title) from cache.

  However, there is a way to fix it. You can always go to this Facebook Debug link:

  https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/og/object/

  You will need to type your site URL and press “Fetch New Scrape Information” button. By doing so, Facebook will update it’s cache and the changes made to the content of the link will be reflected from that point on.
