Help please :(

I have used Adelle and when I used it I was able to click > Appearance > theme Options and enter the social networking links your refer to. It now appears a change has been made and one needs to purchase the annually renewable custom design upgrade to access the Adelle Theme Options now. That IMNHO sucks! So I have tagged this thread for an explanation from Themes Staff.

If the Staff response is yada, yada, yada no can do without paying annually for a cutom design upgrade to access Theme Options then there is a workaround you can use.
Regardless of theme you choose to use you can capture an image of any social networking icon and upload it, link to it and display it in a text widget.
For creating links in a text widget see:

NOTE http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/text-widget/#adding-an-imageYou can upload image files by clicking the Add Media button right above the editing area of a page or a post. http://en.support.wordpress.com/add-media/
You can also upload new files to your Media Library using Media → Add New. http://support.wordpress.com/media/media-add-new

Hi there,
erinwray2 – it looks like you’ve found the options for adding social-media buttons, which live under Customize > Theme Options.
I have used Adelle and when I used it I was able to click > Appearance > theme Options and enter the social networking links your refer to. It now appears a change has been made and one needs to purchase the annually renewable custom design upgrade to access the Adelle Theme Options now.
timethief – Custom Design isn’t needed to access Adelle’s theme options, they’re just located in a different spot. :-)

Thanks, yes I finally figured it out. The previous theme I was using didn’t support it I guess.
