facebook publicize

facebook publicize isn’t working. It worked fine for over a year. Then it stopped. I don’t know that I changed anything? I’ve read the tutorials. I have uninstalled the app and tried to reinstall on facebook. I have authorized it. Can’t figure out what to do.
It wants authority to publicize to my group page as well, which is fine, but I wonder if that is causing the problem?

Hi there,
When you say it isn’t working, can you confirm that it is not actually publishing your WordPress.com blog posts to your wall?
I’ve noticed that some people are not seeing their blog posts show up in their own Facebook Timeline but if you go to your Timeline and select “Activity Log” it does show up there. So you might check that first, just to be sure.

Yes. I did that yesterday and just tried it again today. So it shows, under the “sharing” tab, that I am connected to FB, and I authorized wordpress to publish on my behalf on fb and all that.
So I just checked my most recent post, edited it, and it showed only twitter and linked in. I clicked on the facebook button in the “publish” box and it said:
“To enable Publicize: Facebook, you will need to authorize your WordPress.com account on South Minister to connect with your Facebook account.Click the link below to go to Facebook. You will need to log in and click allow. Facebook Page accounts must have a corresponding Profile at this time.”
So I clicked on the link, the page reset itself, and it still says I am only publishing to twitter and linked in.

Regarding http://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/#reconnecting-facebook did you definitely do the crucial app deleting step?

Yes. I deleted the app.
And then when I clicked on “connect to fb” from the sharing page on the dashboard, it took me back to fb where I re-authorized wordpress to post on my behalf.I just tried it again, for the 3rd time. And when I go to edit a post, it still shows only twitter and linked in under the publicize tab in the Publish box.

It shows I am connected to facebook from the sharing tab on the dashboard. But in the Publish box, in any particular post, facebook doesn’t show up.

Ok, it sounds like you’re part of the small percentage who can’t reconnect since Facebook made some very recent changes on their end. We are working as fast as we can on a solution.
