Facebook Publicize albums

Publicize on facebook is creating an album of images at random.
Some posts with images have been included others have not, I really just want to have a link to my WP from the FB account with the thumbnail like a share used to.The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

We have no control over the images that Facebook or any other social networks chooses to display or when they choose to flush their image caches. We really only send them the URL of the post, and they hunt through that for the excerpt and images to include.

I understand that WP sends the info but I never had a setting about creating an album or using images in an album on facebook. I Don’t see why it is sporadic as well. My new post was with image and appeared in the album, the last few posts that did have images in did not.

I never had a setting about creating an album or using images in an album on facebook. I Don’t see why it is sporadic as well. My new post was with image and appeared in the album, the last few posts that did have images in did not.
This is a new “feature” of Facebook. When you share several items from the same place (WordPress.com) in a relatively short amount of time, Facebook puts them together in a montage.
We don’t have any direct control of that from the WordPress.com end, but spreading your publish times apart and posting some of your links manually and others via publicize seems to help.

oooh ok, do you know what “short space of time” is ? I guess its about a week between posts but mainly every 4 days.

That’s hard to say for sure since Facebook makes the call on that. In my experience making multiple posts in the same day often triggers this behavior, but posting as often as every other day should be fine.
Keep in mind, Facebook doesn’t see your posts from different sites as separate, so if you post once to each of your sites on the same day, those posts are likely to get bundled.
Are you noticing Facebook combining posts that you add 4 days apart?

Oh, odd, well I posted yesterday and I have a scheduled one for monday I think so we will see.
I am not seeing combining though only taking the “key image” and placing it in an album called “wordpress” with the description being maybe the 1st 50 words of the post

Is this on a public Facebook page? If so, could you send me a link?
