Facebook Publicize not sharing posts

When I first starting using the Publicize feature for Facebook everything went pretty smoothly. I was able to connect and my posts were shared successfully with Facebook.
It was just brought to my attention that for the past few months, non of my posts have been showing up on Facebook.
Apparently its is very common since there was a plethora of other people all asking the same thing. However out of all the posts I read and all the “fixes” I tried, nothing seems to do the trick.
I am connected to my the facebook page I edit
When I start a new post, it shows me connected under the publish section (Publicize: Facebook: TILL PAINT COMPANY)
When I post it shows up on wordpress (http://tillpaintnews.wordpress.com/)
When I go back to my Posts > Edit > Edit Publicize the Facebook Button is unchecked.
I Check it and hit update.
Go back to Posts > Edit > Edit Publicize the Facebook button is unchecked.
Other older posts had this option checked off when I viewed them. So I am at a loss as to why it is not working now.I disconnected on wordpress and on facebook and reconnected, I even tried the facebook debugger.
I asked the page admin if he changed anything (since I am just an editor)
I am just at a loss for why it worked fine just a few months ago and not now.Can someone please help?

if you have tried:
1. Disconnecting Publicize and flushing the FB cache http://umairj.com/146/how-to-clear-facebook-shares-cache/2. Using publicize troubleshooting http://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/#troubleshooting
without success I have nothing much to offer you.
Note: RSS Grafitti http://www.facebook.com/RSS.Graffiti can be used for posting to Facebook walls if you prefer. RSS Graffiti periodically checks the RSS/Atom feeds that you specify and posts any new entries it finds to the Facebook Walls that you specify. You can get any feed written on any wall (Facebook Profiles, Fan Pages, Groups, Events and Application Profile Pages). In fact, multiple feeds to multiple walls. You choose the combination.
Also note that reconnecting Publicize with Facebook and/or with Twitter and other social networks does not re-publicize missed posts, but it will work for future posts.

I tried both steps. Neither one worked.
When ever I check of the Edit Publicize the Facebook button it just unchecks it after I resubmit.
I can post manually, but its frustrating because it worked perfectly fine a few months ago.
If I can not get it to reconnect or push out my new posts to Facebook, I will look into the RSS Grafitti.

It looks like the connection with Facebook has been disrupted. Have you potentially changed your Facebook password since making the connection?
The steps here should clear up the issue:

Please note, these reconnection steps are more involved than clicking the “X” on the Sharing page and re-adding the services. Can you try following all of the steps listed above for Facebook?

I did change my password several months back. But I had since reconnected.
I did read about your suggestion on another forum thread and I tried it several times already.
Still not able to post. I even deleted posts and re-posted them new thinking maybe only new posts can be pushed over to facebook.
But that did not work either. The Edit Publicize the Facebook button keeps unchecking. -
It looks like Facebook is still triggering the same error. Just to be sure, you did log into Facebook and revoke the permissions for WordPress.com correct?

That is correct, but I did it again just now to be sure.
This is the first time I noticed this, but when doing the first step re-connecting to Facebook. (where it shows the WordPress Image and your Facebook Profile.)
This is what I says.
“WordPress will receive the following info: your public profile and friend list.“
(image of a padlock) This does not let the app post to Facebook.I do not recall ever seeing the “this does not let the app post to facebook” before. Maybe it was always there I really do not know.
However,I am able to go through and complete the rest just fine.
When I refresh and go back to settings > sharing it shows me as connected.But the Edit Publicize the Facebook button is still unchecked and will not remain checked off.

I suspect that error message you mention is the culprit here. Can you make sure WordPress.com has the permission to post to your Facebook profile as shown here?

I reviewed the Facebook settings and they were all checked off.
I even started over and repeated the entire process just to make sure I did not miss anything.
I still get the (image of a padlock) This does not let the app post to Facebook. when I first start the set up process.But I also get the You have successfully connected your blog with your Facebook account. once I am complete.
I have tried googling why the Edit Publicize the Facebook button is still unchecking itself and I have gotten some leads, but they are for .com pluggins, and I am not using a downloaded plugin.
Could it have something to do with an adblocker? Or my using firefox?
I just dont get it. Everything says I am connected but something is not letting me connect when it comes time to post. -
The Facebook connection is checking out on our side. Additionally, when I try to create a new post under your account (I have since deleted the draft), the Facebook option stays checked:
To be clear, when you start your new post, the Facebook option is unchecked or is this when you’re editing previous posts?

I am not sure what happened or why but new posts now show the facebook box checked off. All previous attempts at new posts (and editing posts) the box was Not checked off.
Even when I deleted and old post and recreated it, the box was not checked off.I made a new post and it did push over to facebook!!!! Thank you!
On the down side, older posts are still unable to be updated and pushed over to facebook. The box continues to deselect after I have hit the update button.
I will have to manually post those to facebook, or delete and posts as new.But a partial victory is better than no victory!

Yes – I’m afraid you will need to manually share old posts. The only way to share these posts to Facebook automatically would be to delete and then repost them.

I am very happy it is working again and I am very appreciative of all the help I received!!
I am just slightly concerned because nothing I tried worked. I just booted back up one afternoon and it started working again. Anyone reading this thread looking for a solution to the same or similar problem will run into the same roadblocks I did.
Or they will find all of your suggestions worked perfectly!Thank you again!
