Facebook Publicize Problem

    Hi there,

I have just been getting used to the publicize feature to post my WordPress.com site posts to my Facebook page. It worked great at the start, however, when I wanted to make some changes to my post on WordPress and re-publicize them to Facebook, nothing happens (I realized I wanted to go back and change the Custom Message before posting to Facebook so it would not show “Edited” on my Facebook page).

Since I wanted a fresh ‘re’-post on my Facebook page, I removed the post on Facebook and headed to WordPress admin where I changed the Custom Message and hit the “Update” tab (in WordPress admin), yet after it refreshes, nothing appears on my Facebook wall. I have tried disconnected the App within Facebook, refreshing within WordPress, and even tried setting up the connection all over again after deleting the connect within both WordPress and Facebook and trying again fresh following the same steps I first used to publicize to Facebook.

I would note I can publicize fresh WordPress posts to Facebook and they work fine, however any post I have deleted from Facebook will no longer reappear on my Facebook page.

Any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated as I would like both sites to work in tandem with one another.

    Cheers,
    Danny

    Hey Danny!

Updating previously published posts at WordPress.com will not change the way they are viewed on Facebook.

If you’ve deleted the Facebook post, but want to re-add it, you can manually share the link using your Facebook sharing button beneath you post. If you haven’t yet used those, here is some information about to set them up and use them:

If you need any assistance with this, please do let me know and I can help!

Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks much!
