facebook publicize works, but shows wrong blog info in tagline

  When i publicize to facebook, where it shows “published by” has info from the original blog i no longer use that is entirely unrelated to the blog I’m now publishing from, everything else is fine (photo, title, etc0. I’ve gone through setting after setting, removed old gravatar info and cannot find anywhere to change this information, could use any help with this.

  Try disconnecting your Facebook profile from the blog and reconnect it back again. That should ideally fix it.

  thank you for the comment, i tried that and did a test post, same “error” occurs. I have also looked through the guide and see nowhere to change this info.

  what would be helpful is to find out where the author information is populated from. I used to have a blog about caricatures and it still shows “posted by wiremanart caricatures”, instead of preferably by the author name of the blog I’m posting from.

  I am not sure this will help. You can try the steps mentioned in this blog to see if you can force Facebook to update their cache for the article, you are sharing.

  I think the author information is coming from your username. Did you use the same username with the other caricature blog?

  I tried the Facebook debugger for one of your post URL and I didn’t see any information about the author getting share.

  Where are you seeing this information about the author?
