facebook referrer

So for a while, I’ve been trying to figure out how this referrer shows up on my blog stats: facebook.com/[profile name]?ref=profile. I’ve searched google and the forums and any kind of plausible answer I got said it happens if someone follows a link to my WP blog through that person’s facebook. Here’s my question then: I, or anybody else that I know of, have left no link to my blog on that person’s FB profile or anything. I don’t feed my WP at FB, so there is no reason for anyone to click onto my blog from news feed or anything. This has been just boggling my mind, so if you can answer my question, it’d be great! Thanks!

Oh, and I’ve tried to go into my FB account and clicking onto my blog from my FB, but that link shows as facebook.com/home.php?.

Lots of people have the Post To Facebook button on their browser bar, and when they find something they like, they post it to their profile as a Link. That will give you that kind of link; Facebook links never do go to exactly the right page, they’re almost untraceable. It’s probably someone else who posted it to his own profile just because he liked it.
