Facebook removed shares
-
yesterday facebook removed all shares from my WordPress site.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
-
Hi there,
What do you mean exactly? We have no control over what Facebook does, so if they removed shared posts from their website, you’ll need to contact them to find out why they did that.
-
How pray?
They insulate themselves from contact
Repeatedly filled in report fault box.I am in process of posting an original poem each day this year .
They removed the lot!
Is anything on my site unlawful? -
I understand this is frustrating to you, but there is nothing we can do to help. Facebook is a different company, and we don’t control what they do on their platform, nor do we have any control over the way their reporting and support processes work.
Is anything on my site unlawful?
I am neither a lawyer nor a judge, nor a member of Facebook’s terms of service team, so I cannot comment on that.
-
it is only shares from WordPress that have gone, nothing else.
yes, i know you are different cpmpanies!!! -
I recommend contacting Facebook for more information about why the shares have been removed from their side. There should be an option to do so if you login at facebook.com, click the “?” icon at the top right of the page and select “Report a Problem”.

new material added
i did not post it
open link to get image saying “Karma” This is on WordPress, not started on facebook.i was going to post a poem daily this year.
i have been stopped by a spiteful scum bag
-

#1906 (untitled)gave link to a tweet
i have deactivated twitter accountwho is #1906(untitled) ?
have disconnected all shares
can this be stopped?
where do I change password, cannot find it
-
may have come from:
http//wp.me/p4ihKs-uk
duckduckgo search got to twitter account of Nicole Valentin
last tweet there was 2014 so it is probably a disused account that has been acquired for the purposes oh a spiteful hacker
-
What exactly are you speaking of? Where was new material added? On your site? Or on Twitter? As I already told you in https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/spiteful-hacking/, there is no evidence at all of unauthorised access to your WordPress.com account.
-
I did not post this:-
https://poetmorgan.wordpress.com/2018/07/06/1906/
surely this is evidence!!!
who is #1906(untitled)???
-
As I said in your other thread, if you did not publish that post it was done by someone who already knows your password, as there was no password reset on your account before that post was published, and it was most likely even done from your own computer.
who is #1906(untitled)???
That is not a “who”
#1906 is the unique ID for that post in your site’s database – all posts have one – and it’s untitled because that post was published without having a title set.
-
my computer was off,
i used Kindle fire and found it
I did not post it and no one has been in this houseI am finding this disingenuous
I have been sharing original composition poems each day this year and sharing on Facebook , G+, Twitter
I have left twitter as link:
http//wp.me/p4ihKs-uk
took me to a twitter page not active since 2014i am a poet not a writer of code. this is beyond my skill set
-
I did not post it and no one has been in this house
@kokkieh mentioned the post could have been published by someone who knows your password (as it wasn’t published by you). Therefore, I recommend changing your password and enabling two-step authentication to add an extra layer of security to your account. -
credo sed caveo
am mulling it over,
did change password today but that does not reinstate 200 plus lost shares.
move house because of foul neighbours, must work out how to do same on line.
surprised you cannot see odd one out url
thanks all the same

had thing checked by helper, she thinks weakest place is wordpress shares
simples, disconnect shares, will do the later
-
Hi @poetmorgan, I just had a conversation with our developers, and there is no way that a post that has been shared to one of the social services can be deleted from the WordPress.com end once it is shared. We simply cannot do that. That ability is not there, and we could not even add that ability if we wanted to.
When your site is connected to Facebook through Publicize, an App is put onto your Facebook account. That App would show up under Settings > Apps & Websites. If that App was deleted from your FB settings, and the Also delete all posts, photos and videos on Facebook that Todoist may have published on your behalf. checkbox was clicked, that would remove all posts that were shared from your WordPress site.
Just as a precaution, I would suggest you change the password on your Facebook account, and continue to follow up with Facebook on this issue since it cannot be something from our side of things.

tried reconnecting to twitter.
no publicize
lead me to a Twitter account: Rattler42589167
interesting, Rattler is a term used in Royal navy for a man named Morgan.
clearly i can no longer connect shares.
this limits use of WordPress
Seems I must leave it dormant and reconsider options.
