The Facebook share button at the bottom of my blog used to show a tally of how many times the post had been shared – but the numbers disappeared yesterday. Today, only my my most recent post shows a 1 – when I alone have posted it in two places. What happened?

My numbers also desappeared yesterday. Regularly I lose facebook likes under posts, and twitter shared suddenly, why? I begin to be tired.

I can see share button numbers on your posts. Please be aware that the share button numbers only reflect the number of people who actually read the post on your blog and clicked the share button there. WordPress.com does not have access to any data that reflects other places the posts may have been shared. -

I also see the share button numbers on the icons at the bottom of your posts. Please try clearing your browser cache http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache and also read what I posted above. -
Hmm…. thanks for your help, timethief, but I tried clearing my cache and STILL see only a “1” for my most recent post, which had been 6, and “0” for “When the Darkness Comes,” which had been 17, etc. The Robin Williams post (August) had read “10K+” and now reads “3.” And it has been like this ever since yesterday…. :(

It can’t be my computer, because the numbers are gone when I look on my phone as well, except for the few I noted above. What share numbers do you see? Are they double digit for all?

End of the story is, some FB numbers came back and others never did. The post that once showed 10K+ FB posts now reads 3. Who knows what happened!
