My Facebook share button has reset itself and lost all the count of shares. How can it be restored to show the number of previous shares?

I have discovered the same problem with the last four posts on my blog – agendamatters.wordpress.com
Facebook shares have disappeared.
Post dated 17 Nov. 2014 has been shared 32+ times
Post dated 4 Oct. 2014 has been shared 152+ times
Some Twitter shares also have disappeared.However, the link still works as I’ve reposted the last story to Facebook and this count is visible.

Have you made any recent changes to the sharing buttons on your site? (For example, did you switch between the official sharing buttons and other sharing button styles?)

I’ve made no changes to the sharing buttons. The share numbers were there one day and not the next.This post had 32 shares. Tweets have also disappeared.

Facebook sharing tool numbers do not show or work. Only one post on one particular blog shows 5 facebook shares, but the other posts show no facebook shares and they all had some, some quite a few.
Wondering if the FB sharing tool is even working on this blog. All my other blogs the number of fbook shares from each post are visible. This happen to another blog before and someone from WP helped them appear again. Please help make all the numbers of this blog’s posts fbook shares show again and that the tool to share is still working for future shares. Also an explanation to why this may happen from time to time.

Thank you for reporting that, tsintl1. If you can remember any specific details (specific posts where you know the number of Facebook shares disappeared or dropped significantly) that would also help our team investigate the issue.

There are a number of Facebook shares that disappeared yet some remained. Very weird. Can’t remember what all the number of shares for the other posts were but some had quite a few, some just a few, but pretty much most all previous posts had some number of shares. I can’t remember exact numbers for the posts that are missing, but there are at least a dozen or more posts where the shares are absolutely gone. There is no way to look back at an archive of my files and see? If not, it may take some time to figure out the actually numbers and each post. Any other feedback?

The Facebook shares for one of my most popular blogpost has disappeared. It had a share count of 3k+ and now it is all gone. I would appreciate it if this can be rectified

Hi everyone, our team hasn’t yet found the source of this issue, but some people have found that switching to the official sharing buttons (the “Button style” setting under Settings > Sharing in your site’s dashboard) restores the complete sharing numbers on their posts. That is one option you can try while our team investigates this issue.

I have another problem, now this blog address of mine below does not come up even when I copy and paste it in to the url from my account. It says it does not exist. http://tsinternational.wordpress.com
Please help!Also, on my Veteran blog, Where the shares are missing, I tried what you suggested, but nothing changed. The first, 3rd, 4th, fifth, and seventh posts are missing their shares.

Our team is still investigating the Facebook sharing issue, but I’ll post an update about that as soon as I have more details!

I have returned to my blog that had fb share #’s missing and now all posts but one has the numbers missing. I think I figured something out too that may be related to this problem although I don’t understand it. When I go to my other blogs- World Outreach, Recovery Outreach, & Living on Purpose, in the URL address for the blogs they appear normal. However, when I go to my Veteran’s Common Bond Blog, the url address has a picture of a shield before the star image (for being Favorited) and when I hover over the shield it says-this page includes script from unauthenticated sources. It also gives you n option to download unsafe scripts. Of course i didn’t. Would this have something to do with the number of FB shares not showing up and now recently happening to my posts? What else is happening on this particular blog because of this script / shield I have described? Please advise what is happening with my page and share counts. Thank you.
