  Hi,

  Loks like “official buttons” count only references to https:// URLs, while for instance “icon” style counts both http and https references.

  Could you please have a look and help to fix this issue?

  Hi mamafulltime, the counts on official sharing buttons come directly from those social media services, so WordPress.com can’t directly control what counts are displayed there. However, our team is still working on this issue and trying to work with those other services to get all shares counted from their end. I don’t know the timeline for this, but we’re definitely still working on it!

  If I have my sharing buttons set to:
  * Icon + Text
  * Icon only
  * Text only

  The numbers for Facebook show up.

  If I have my sharing button set to:
  * Official button

  the numbers for Facebook do not show up.

  It used to show up, but not today.

  Thank you for the suggestion yewnique. I have changed to the Icon + text sharing button and the numbers have reappeared.

  I’m experiencing the same problem (blog – https://lokissciphile.wordpress.com/): The number of Facebook shares is not displayed when the sharing button style is set to “Official buttons”.

  Hi everyone,

  When using the official sharing buttons, the number of shares on the Facebook button comes directly from Facebook so we can’t directly control what appears there. However, our team is in contact with Facebook to try to get the correct number of shares to appear there. Our team hasn’t been able to resolve this yet, but they are still working on it!
