Facebook share doesn't include post text (sometimes!)

Hi guys, something’s confusing me.
If I try to share the latest post on my blog http://girl independent.wordpress.com on facebook using the share button at the bottom of the post, the facebook link that’s created only inc users the title and a thumbnail.
If however I share one of the older posts (the first post, for example) it will include the title, a thumbnail AND the first few lines of text from that post.
Why the difference? And how do I get it to include the first lines of text each time?
As an aside, I don’t have publicise set up yet, I’ve been using an rss feed on hootsuite – Any benefits to doing it using publicise?

Manually posting to FB via your Sharing buttons works and allows you to choose the image. If you have FB sharing enabled, just click the FB button on your post and you get a pop-up page of FB where you can select the thumbnail. There’s a toggle you can use to go forwards or back to choose the image.
I don’ do Facebook. This is all I know. You can set up Publicize and publish to your Facebook profile page > http://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/
Alternatively you can use Networked Blogs http://www.networkedblogs.com/ or RSS Grafitti http://www.facebook.com/RSS.Graffiti for posting to Facebook walls if you prefer. -
It’s not the image I’m bothered about, that works fine, it’s the first few lines of text in the facebook posting. Sometimes it’s there, sometimes it’s not.
I use hootsuite for auto publishing to FB, but it doesn’t post it “nicely” – just the title and an ow.ly link.

I have tried Publicize, but it has been my experience that if you want your post to be exactly the way you want it, you have to go to FB and post it there…slightly less convenient, but not too bad.
