Facebook share preview

  Hi,
  since today bu sharing on Facebook I don’t get the usual previews with photos and summarized text. I tried to use the facebook debug tool to check my website urls and I get this two error messages:
  1) “Object at URL ‘http://cosahoimparatooggi.com/2014/03/03/un-alveare-di-300-anni-un-salto-nel-pensiero-di-mandeville/’ of type ‘website’ is invalid because a required property ‘og:title’ of type ‘string’ was not provided.”
  2) Curl Error : COULDNT_CONNECT

  What happened? Can you help me?

  When I try the Facebook debugger, I don’t get the errors you state, but I do get this:

  Provided og:image could not be downloaded or is not big enough. Please use an image that’s at least 200x200px and is accessible from Facebook. Image ‘http://cosahoimparatooggi.files.wordpress.com/2014/03/the-swarm.jpg’ will be used instead.

  I tried sharing your site on Facebook and it shows The Swarm poster as a thumbnail now without a problem.

  aaand me too… just finished an article: http://www.halo.17kgroup.it/news/6359-amazon-it-compleanno-grunt-per-halo-the-master-chief-collection/

  No preview, it started today with NO reason. Maybe it’s because i have to update to WP 4.0?

  Thanks for trying, Senff. Actually, after a couple of tries, I too see the image, but not the usual text summary (which worked until yesterday).

  Hi Sanana94, I’m using a blog hosted by wordpress.com, I don’t know if they updated the software…

  Does anybody know if yesterday facebook changed something in its sharing preview tools?

  It seems I have solved the problem: by getting a shortlink (e.g. http://wp.me/p3K3ZZ-x8) directly from the page edit page, Facebook seems to like the format again and I finally see again both images and captions (article summary) in the preview. I still can’t understand what happened, but this hack does work!

  Hi Darvil, sorry for my lazy reply! It seems that it was a Facebook error, so our blogs are safe! I Had no preview issues after 2-3 days! :)
