Facebook shares not showing after registering domain

    I just moved from dessertedgirl.wordpress.com to buying my domain name http://www.thedessertedgirl.com

    The problem I’m facing is that the new domain isn’t showing the number of Facebook shares my posts have already gotten. The share buttons have all gone back to zero shares. Is this because the posts were shared with the .wordpress address? Or does it just take some time to sync?
