Facebook shares stops at 10k?

I just have a question about the Facebook share button. It shows the number of shares up to 10k then just says 10k+. However, wordpress stats continue to say that about 90% of my traffic is from fb–is there a way to see what the actual fb stats are?

Can you please show me where oh your WordPress.com blog you are seeing 10K Facebook Shares? I took a look at your site and I’m not able to find this.
Please note that while we are able to show you Referrer stats (where the user is clicking from) we do not provide detailed information about who those Facebook users are. You can find your referrer stats by going here:

There is a box labeled Referrers that you can look at. Unfortunately we cannot get more specific than that.

I have never known the share numbers to be accurate. I had 1k shares once and the share button now reads zero.

If you look at the bottom of the post where the sharing buttons are the fb share button says 10k on it. I’m assuming it just maxes at that and otherwise we can’t really tell where the other traffic is coming from?

I have had this exact issue with mine. My facebook shares were progressively increasing up to 10k+. Since then I have had over 200,000 more views but no increase in shares. Also, I know it is being shared on Pinterest but this button records zero.

I see! Thanks @nessaleigh238! So, it looks like it is currently maxed at 10K+ shares (which is why I believe there is a +), but I’m checking with my team for further confirmation.

@Gracejiyoung this same thing is happening to my article as well posted on singlematters.com. Did any of these get resolved?
My article http://www.singlematters.com/why-pregnancy-before-marriage-isnt-sin/ has gone viral with over 90k views and FB shows 21k shares but on the actual article itself itself it says 10k. Can we remedy this?

Sorry for the late update. At this time, if you would like to show a larger interval than 10K+, please switch to the Official button style by going to Settings > Sharing in your Dashboard.
For the other buttons, the highest interval is 10K+ at this moment. Once I hear of an update to my report, I will get back to you.
