Facebook Sharing Partially Broken

    About a week ago (beginning of August 2011) WordPress.com updated and sharing to Facebook has been partially (but significantly broken since). Two problems, and they both pertain both using the “share” button on the blog or just pasting a link into FB.

    1. Instead of finding all the images like it used to, only four at most (the first 4) are offered by FB to chose from. This is very irritating and makes it much harder to promote my posts.
    2. The FB parsing (and I don’t know if the change was on the FB or WordPress side) used to skip (almost magically) the preamble to my posts and take the second paragraph. This was good, as I write mostly reviews and I have a bunch of summary info at the top that FB used to ignore in creating the summary. Now it just mashes that stuff all together into an unreadable paragraph of crap.

    Net effect is that my FB links back to my blog suck now, and they were fine in July (and for the year previous). Anyone else seeing this? Know what changed and how to fix it?

    Unfortunately, all of this is controlled on Facebook’s end, and they seem to change the criteria that they use rather frequently.

    There’s nothing that we can do on our end.
