Facebook Status Embeds Not Appearing

  I have followed the instructions to embed Facebook posts in my WordPress.com site (http://en.support.wordpress.com/facebook-integration/facebook-embeds/#embedding-with-a-url) but they are not appearing. I even tried with a post from the Governor of Delaware since his timeline is public, but it did not work either. Even the embed in the link above is not functional. Does anyone know how to embed a Facebook post properly?
