Facebook-style link preview

  When we share a link on Facebook, it shows automatically the title, a picture and the first sentence of the shared article.
  I want to share on the blog links to articles written on several sites, but I want it to preview the link to make it look better.
  Any tips to enable link preview?

  Can you rephrase your part, please? It’s not very clear in its current format.

  Are you looking for an option where you can preview how a certain link from your WordPress.com site would look on Facebook? You can use the Sharing Debugger available from Facebook to do just that. https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/

  It’s also encouraged to make the best out of JetPack for improving how your WordPress.com site’s meta data reflect when you share links on social media sites like Facebook. I encourage you to take a look at this page https://jetpack.com/support/seo-tools/ and learn on filling the post title, description, site title and description.

  Having these filled should ensure that your links show up rich when you share them on Facebook, Twitter or related places.

  I want to publish links to interesting articles that I find from any sources on my blog, and I want WordPress to do what Facebook does when we post a link on the timeline or send a link to friend.
  When I to post a link on my blog, I want WordPress to preview the page pointed by the link instead of showing only a URL. The preview should show the title, a picture and few sentences.

  @escriptore, if the sources you want to share the links from are WordPress.com blogs, you can Reblog posts from those blogs on your blog. See https://en.support.wordpress.com/reblogs/

  Hi –

  There’s not a way to automatically do what’s been requested here. My best advise is to use the reblog features for WordPress.com content.

  Otherwise, you can write a new post with the link and create an excerpt and title.
