Hello, guys! :) How are you doing?
I created a wordpress.com blog, and when I share the blog on fb, the fb post doesn’t show the blog’s thumbnail – it appears blank. I found a plugin to fix that but I can’t install plugins. Can any of you help me find a solution for this?

Hi there,
We have no control over the images that Twitter, Facebook or any other social networks chooses to display or when they choose to flush their image caches. We really only send them the URL of the post, and they hunt through that for the excerpt and images to include.

So I read those articles, and tried the debugger but don’t know what to do with the information, can you help me? One of the feedbacks is:extrinsic property Objects of this type do not allow properties called “article: publisher.”
Metadata unmatched parser The result of this metadata parser for did not match the entered metadata. This probably happened because the data is sorted in an unexpected way, Multiple values are given them to a property that expects only a single value or the property values for a particular property does not match. Here are the properties introduced that were not seen in the result of the parser: ‘article: publisher’And in the website preview there is no thumbnail/image.
I added a thumbnail through the dashboard settings, and it shows up in facebook if I share the Blog. If I share posts, the images also show up. But if I share the website main URL, nothing shows up.
Do you have any idea why this might be happening?

There is a 480x480px minimum acceptable size for Facebook posts. How big was the thumbnail you used?

It’s 640×415, so not big enough, that was the problem. Resized the image, re-uploaded and it’s working now, thank you so much for your help! :)
