Facebook Timeline
-
I’ve set up my blog posts to publicize to Facebook. I see my WP.com posts on the FB home page (news feed), but my profile is using the new Timeline. I don’t see the posts on the timeline itself, however when I go into my Activity Log, I see the WordPress.com posts showing up there (simply indicating that I “posted something via WordPress.com”). Is there anything that can be done on WP.com’s end so that the posts show up on the Timeline (not just the Activity Log), or is this a question for Facebook?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi. Perhaps a Facebok issue indeed. See here:

I’d like to know what they say, IF you can really get a hold of them. I too, am using the new timeline. I have both a personal FB and a Fan Page, both linked together. Now I’m having trouble getting my eBay items listed onto my Fan page because they only want to post to my personal page, and I don’t want that!

Just to be clear we Volunteers answering questions here are not attempting to get a hold of Facebook support. Those Facebook members who are having this issue must do that.
Also have you read these sections?
Facebook Pages http://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/#facebook-pages
If you would like to Publicize your posts to your Facebook page, instead of your Facebook profile, click on the “Set Options” link underneath Facebook on your Settings > Sharing page. You will need to connect your blog to Facebook first. You will need to use a Facebook account that has a Profile with administrative rights to the Page. Note: A Page-only account can not be used with Publicize. The Facebook account must have a profile.http://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/#troubleshooting
If you see the message “Error – See Support” (see image below) after connecting to Facebook, there is a problem with the Facebook account being used. Only Facebook Pages that have an associated Profile can be used with Publicize. Follow the “Reconnecting Facebook” steps above and connect to a Facebook Profile that has administrative rights to the Page.

I’ve made three posts to my blog with FB publicize on, and just today I’m noticing a box on my FB timeline that has links to all three posts. I did send a message to FB yesterday, via their usual channels, but did not expect any kind of personal response. It may be coincidence that I’m noticing this now.
It’s my guess that FB “waits” for WP to publicize more than one post, then FB collects them in a summary. It’s also my guess this is how FB handles other apps and how they post to the timeline. This may or may not be the best way to represent WP.com posts in the timeline, but at least they are getting posted.

I just logged on to see if anyone was having this issue — according to Facebook, “this is an issue with the app developer, not with Facebook”
Seems that if it publishes to a news feed, then the app is working fine, but do we maybe need the app developers to write in a function specifically for timeline posts, even if they aren’t a summary of wordpress.com posts?

Having the same problem leaving me with no other option then to enter my activity log and make an active choose to feature it on my timeline. Wast of time and in 2012 this should be easily sorted. I guess we are not the only one having these problems?

Hello there,
Stab in the dark > RSS Grafitti http://www.facebook.com/RSS.Graffiti periodically checks the RSS/Atom feeds that you specify and posts any new entries it finds to the Facebook Walls that you specify. You can get any feed written on any wall (Facebook Profiles, Fan Pages, Groups, Events and Application Profile Pages). In fact, multiple feeds to multiple walls. You choose the combination.
