facebook, twitter – posts not referenced there

I’m trying to get my blog posts to appear in Twitter and Facebook. I believe I’ve followed the required steps, but with no results, so I assume I’m missing something…

While logged in, at the publish post section, WP says ‘To enable Publicize: Twitter, you will need to authorize your WordPress.com account on Global Dashboard to connect with your Twitter account. Authorize connection with Twitter’. I click that. A page comes up that says: ‘Woah there! This page is no longer valid. It looks like someone already used the token information you provided. Please return to the site that sent you to this page and try again … it was probably an honest mistake.’ However, under ‘Settings – Sharing’, my WP account says Twitter and Facebook are authorized/connected. In the ‘publish post’ area, next to ‘publize’ there’s an ‘edit’ button which allows me to put a checkmark next to each of Facebook and Twitter. Below this are messages to authorize each of these, which I don’t know what to do with since I already authorized them. I then click ‘update post’. It seems to take, but nothing appears on Facebook or Twitter.

Can you try clearing browser cache and cookies and then try authorizing again? Is your browser version up to date? You can upgrade any browser version here > http://browsehappy.com/

Thanks, timethief. Did all of the above a few times (before posting here). Ultimately hired raincoaster to help me in person. Something was super glitchy, as WP showed me as ‘connected’ yet it wasn’t working. raincoaster guided me to disable the WP-to-Twitter connection and start the process again. This worked. Yay!
