facebook widget doesn't work – url problem

  Hi,
  I put this url in the fb-widget: https://www.facebook.com/perinatus.alapitvany and it wouldn’t appear in my blog. Unfortunately it is not possible to change the fb url so what can I do for the succes?

  I did. Same result unfortunately. My guess is that the dot is the reason (before “alapitvany”)

  Any other idea please?

  Hi Eszter,

  I’m afraid the Facebook Like Box Widget only works with Facebook pages. The link you’ve included above appears to be your Facebook profile. Is this correct?

  thanks, it is not solution. If I put a very similar fb url, e.g: https://www.facebook.com/avorospostakocsi, or this: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Perinatus-Alap%C3%ADtv%C3%A1ny-A-sz%C3%BClet%C3%A9s-testi-lelki-eg%C3%A9szs%C3%A9g%C3%A9%C3%A9rt/157127864330266

  and they will appear without any problem. Actually, any fb pages will work what I tried but this one. This is why I guess the dot before “alapitvany” is the problem. And I don’t know how to avoid, because you cannot change the fb url anymore.

  Any suggestions with the dot…?

  The second URL listed above works because it is a Facebook fan page, rather than a profile.

  However, when I tested the first URL, I received an error message because it is a Facebook profile, rather than a fan page. For example in the second URL, you see /pages/.

  In order for the Widget to work, you need to create a fan page. I’m afraid the dot isn’t the reason why your Facebook profile isn’t working, but that the format — profile vs. fan page — is conflicting with this Widget.
