Facebook widget is not showing!

  Hi everybody!

  I installed a facebook widget for “likes” and all that shows up is the title where I’ve placed my facebook address with facebook. The widget itself just shows up as a blank box!

  Can someone tell me just what I’m doing wrong?

  I’ve recently begun to experience this same exact problem — but only when using Google Chrome — on several WP.com blogs that I help to manage (in Hebrew):

  • unfamart.wordpress.com
  • my-story.co.il
  • ns-adv.co.il

  The Facebook widget was displaying perfectly, and suddenly stopped working (with Chrome only, now at v33.0.1750.154 on 64-bit Windows 7 SP1) fairly recently, on all of these sites. With Firefox v28.0 and IE 11, things are working fine!

  I suspect that a similar problem reported with the JetPack plugin for WP.org (same/similar codebase as WP.com?) is related.

  Hi @talktruthful,

  Currently, I do not see the Facebook widget on your sidebar at talktruthful.com. Can you try installing it again following the instructions here?

  @jeremeylduvall: Did you check using the Chrome browser?

  For me, I still am consistently NOT seeing the Facebook widget for all of these sites, but only when browsing with Chrome. I’ve seen similar reports by others as well.

  Yep! I used Chrome to test all of your sites and the Facebook widgets display correctly. Could you try clearing your cache as explained here?

  Seems that things have since been fixed (on the WordPress.com side).

  All of my WP.com sites (as well as the WP.org sites using WP.com’s Jetpack plugin) are now properly displaying the Facebook widget, without any special action on my part.

  For the record, my Chrome is now at version 34.0.1847.116 m .
