Facilitating commenting on my blog posts

  • Unknown's avatar

I don’t seem to be able to design my blog so that a comment submission form appears under each post, so I think this may be preventing people from commenting. It’s not apparent that there’s anyplace to put in a comment when you look at my blog. Is there any way to change this? Is it possible that this is due to the design I’m using (Connections by http://www.vanillamist.com)

    Thanks, Miriam

With that theme, all anyone has to do is click on No Comments or 2 Comments (or however many there might be) and they get the form.

Check your restrictions in your Discussion settings. If you’re requiring people to become WP members to comment, some people won’t do that.

I see the comment form on your web site. You just need to click the full post to see the form. None of the themes show the form on the post list pages (where 1 page shows more than 1 post, like home pages, archives, etc.).

You might want to start using the ‘more’ tag, so users would click through to the full post page.
