faetured image as header not showing in blog view

just getting started with Hemingway Rewritten and i love it… i noticed that the image i’ve selected as a featured image in blog posts is not displaying in the excerpt mode or the full post mode on the main blog page. the blog page lists the recent posts in all categories with a “read more” link but the corresponding images that are set as featured images for these posts do not appear on the main blog page even with all the “content option>featured images” boxes checked (or unchecked for that matter). from the description of the theme, i would expect that these images should be appearing on the main blog page with the excerpts.

what am i missing?

Hi. Here’s what you’ve missed. The Post Formats & Sticky Posts section of the Hemingway Rewritten theme guide says:

Featured images uploaded to Sticky Posts are displayed on the blog and archives, above the post content. Non-sticky posts’ featured images are not displayed on the blog or archives.

thanx! …but also :-(… too bad every page’s image can’t be used as a little eye candy on the main page…

It’s a peculiarity of that theme. You can do so on most themes. : )

i’ll have to see if i can experiment with different themes without losing any of the structure and content i already have in the Hemingway theme… i like the simplicity, but i’d like to see if adding images to a similarly simple layout would be too much…
