Failed domain transfer
-
Hello,
I have unlocked my domain with Godaddy, and twice I have received an authorisation code, and both times the transfer to WordPress has failed. Am I missing something else I should be doing?Any help would be appreciated.
ThanksThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The issue is likely because you do not have an upgraded WordPress.com plan for your site that allows a custom domain.
Please take a look at this page and follow the instructions to transfer your domain to WordPress.com:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/move-domain/incoming-domain-transfer/
And please do let us know if you have any further trouble.

Thanks, but I did purchase an upgraded plan before I attempted to transfer my domain. I cannot figure out why the transfer was cancelled.

For what site did you buy a paid plan, and what is the domain you’re trying to transfer?
The account you’re using to post here doesn’t own any WordPress.com sites, and has never bought any upgrades from us. I only see a bunch of self-hosted sites in your account, connected here from other hosting providers via the Jetpack plugin. You can’t buy a WordPress.com upgrade plan for one of those sites.
If the domain you’re trying to transfer is registered with GoDaddy, also make sure you’ve disabled private registration, as GoDaddy doesn’t allow domains to be transferred away from them if the domain has private registration active.

Hi, for some reason when I accessed the forum, my messages were sent by an old WordPress account I hadn’t used for over four years.
I was trying to move the domain to WordPress too soon after obtaining the authorisation code, Godaddy told be to wait at least four hours after getting the code, which now appears to have worked ok.
Thanks.
