Failed import from Posterous

I’ve been through the process to import from Posterous and it has been well over 24 hours and there is no news, no email , no information on the blog so I am not sure what else to do
Blog url: http://posterousmove.wordpress.com/The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Can ANYONE help? Is there a Happiness Engineer in the neighbourhood?
I’ve tried this three times – with both a private WP blog and a public one. I REALLY want to migrate my posterous blogs to WP but nothing is happening. No email, no import, no fail notice. Nothing.
How does one deal with this?

Hi there,
I’ll flag this thread for Staff attention. Please be patientv while waiting for their response. -
Thank you SO much. Happy to be patient if I know something is happening, but I hadn’t heard anything at all and I’ve seen others having the same issue without reply too.
Much obliged :)

Nothing. Nada. Zip.
Importer page still says importing. Zero posts imported. No email to say success or failure. Just the dead silence of Space.
Is Posterous blocking exports?
Any help appreciated – I’ve been trying this for over a week now
Thanks

I’ll tag this for staff attention and hopefully one of them will be around shortly and look into this for you. And please do not post the same issue and multiple threads as it makes “we the volunteers” run around in circles. :-)
-
Thanks – I didn’t feel I was posting my issue on multiple threads, just researching (again) whether anything else had come up in the interim and commenting on others’ issues :)
It seems that a reasonable number of people have the same issue, but there does not seem to be a central article on the issue that we can all point to so partly hoping to help facilitiate that
Anyway, I shall now sit tight and patiently

Yeah, there is something going on. It could be that twitter/posterous changed something and wordpress had not quite caught up with that change, or figured out how to fix it. I do know from being on a posterous group blog with some friends that they are nearly hopelessly screwed up since being “twittered.” If I didn’t know better I would think it was Adobe that bought them. Adobe mucks up everything it buys.

I’m not seeing anything on this end that would prevent the import.
Would you please contact Posterous about this? Maybe something is blocking it on their end.

Was about to write to Posterous but wondered whether their custom domain mapping might be an issue.
You use the posterous domain (thirstforwine.posterous.com) for the login, but it may break if redirected, so have turned it off (not great for the visitors to the site), but fingers crossed that this will get around the issue – have restarted the import

Nope – no joy. Wasn’t the (only) issue.
Have emailed Posterous without much hope of success
