Failed import from WP local to WP.com

  Hi,

  I have a blog I kept on my local account at godaddy located at: patandsarah.net/wordpress and wanted to migrate to wordpress.com. I went ahead and upgraded my local WP to the latest 2.8.4 after my first failed import on WP.com, but it is still not working.

  I did the export locally, examined the xml file and it looks like the content is there. I then went to WP.com, did an import, it said “31 queries” and that made sense since I only had about that many posts, but the blog is empty after import on WP.com?

  I wanted to preserve this somewhere and also maybe make a book using a service that can only come from wp.com, not locally.

  Can anyone help me understand why the import fails?

  I contacted them and within a few hours they had done the import for me manually. Great support. Thanks for the info.
