'Failed to import' and 'invalid post type' errors.

    I am trying to export the content of my WordPress.com website into a self-hosted WordPress site. I have followed the directions meticulously, but every time I try, I get the error messages listed above, and nothing imports. All the online tips I have found are from 3 years ago. Can anyone help?
