Failed to retireve all domains

Attempting to update website but I’m getting this error message which prevents me from doing so.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The above is happening under the “Account Settings” section and the subsection in it called “Primary Domain” is greyed out, blinks on and off and no area requesting info allows me to input info.

  • Hi there, does this still happen if you head to Upgrades > Domains?

I checked your account now but everything does seem in order at this time!

That’s interesting that everything looks good on your end. I’m still unable to make changes to my site as the same page I wrote about yesterday is still showing up. I just attempted to locate Upgrades>Domains as you mentioned above. The only place I could locate Upgrades was on the Purchases page and there it says “I don’t have a WordPress Site yet”

FYI the issue occurs when I attempt to enter my site to make changes by entering wordpress.com/home/manwomanknowthyself.com

I get the issue when I enter my site to make changes in this way.

  • Hello there,

Ok, so are you seeing the domain upgrade here: https://wordpress.com/domains/manage/manwomanknowthyself.com

Also, can you tell me what you were looking to update please?

I see a Blank Page with a notice that says “Please set a primary site!”

I’d like to make updates to one of my pages the one regarding the April Tour to Egypt.

Were you aware that my website is up and showing and working as usual. But when I go to wordpress.com/home/manwomanknowthyself.com I get the issues that I have written in about?

  • Hello there,

That is odd – what is the browser you’re using and are you using any adblocker extensions?

Yes indeed, what you’re experiencing there is most interesting – Adblockers can have adverse affects on how WordPress operates.

I use the Firefox browser. Pretty much always have when accessing my site to make changes to it. This is the first time I’ve had any issues doing so let alone the issue I’m having. So I don’t know if there are Adblockers on the Firefox browser that are new because I always use Firefox and again haven’t had issues with it previously. So how would I check for Adblockers and then disable them?

  • Hello there,

It doesn’t sound like you do have extensions, but this guide here provides details on how to disable them: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/disable-or-remove-add-ons

Does this resolve if you were to clear the browser cache: https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache
