failed to upload due to an error !

I recently moved my WordPress to different hosting. Now I get this error each time I try to upload files. “The uploaded file could not be moved to /public_html/wp-content/uploads”.

I searched the interent for a solution and found out that I can upload files as long as the “uploads” directory is set to 777 permission (all others, 755, etc… does not work).

My question is: Can I leave it on 777? Is it safe? Is there any other solution that lets me upload while the directory is set to 755?

    Thanks,

Sorry but that’s not a free hosted WordPress.com blog and we cannot help you with it. You are posting to the wrong support forum.
