Failed tumblr blog import

  I was trying to import my tumblr blogs to WordPress. I decided to start with the smaller one, only 92 posts. But after more than an hour, still not a single post appeared to have been imported. I clicked on ‘clear account information’ so I could hopefully start over. However after clicking on ‘import this blog’ again, I get an error message saying only one import can run at a time; this makes no sense as none of my blogs appear to be in the middle of import, since the ‘Action/status’ column is only showing ‘Import this blog’ buttons, and not showing any blog import being in progress.

  If there is still an import ongoing in the background, how do I stop it? If there is not, how do I get around this error message?

  Hi there,

  I’ve reset the Tumblr importer for your site so you can try again.

  If it seems to take long, please be patient and don’t try cancelling the process yourself – we’re experiencing a high volume of imports from Tumblr at the moment causing a backlog of pending imports in our system. The imports are being run in the order they are submitted.

  If the new import doesn’t complete within 24 hours, please let us know.
