Failure to edit/change the text color of headings on homepage

In designing the homepage for a news website, I encountered a very bizarre thing I can’t quite explain or figure out by myself. The problem is, I want to change the color of Title block (part of a Post block), which has been the same color as the homepage’s background, black, ever since I changed the homepage background. I have successfully changed it to white in the editor multiple times, and every time I changed it in the editor, it becomes white; however, when I saved the edits and clicked “view the site,” the new change was not reflected. This is very frustrating. I don’t know why this inconsistency happens, and why the heading doesn’t seem to allow me to change the color. It’s weirder given that I click on the block, and even though the texts are black as anybody can see, the editor says they are white. I had to change it to black and then white a few times back and forth for it to show a change in color in the editor, but it never shows in the updated site. I don’t know how else to trouble shoot, and any help will be appreciated.

This inconsistency usually occurs because of a ‘CSS Specificity’ conflict, where your theme’s Global Styles or Link settings are overriding the individual block settings you’ve applied in the editor. Because the Title block in a news feed is typically a link, it may be inheriting a black ‘Link Color’ from your theme’s general settings. I recommend checking the Global Styles > Blocks > Post Title settings to ensure the color is set to white site-wide. If that doesn’t work, adding a small ‘Important’ CSS rule to your site’s customizer will force the titles to display in white by overriding any conflicting theme instructions.
