Failure to Launch

I’ve tried to create a new blog as sort of a home for my long established online community. The problem is that your system is doing a splendid job of getting in the way, because of a completely pointless feature you’ve built in. I’m referring to the “launching” feature.

    My blog is located at

    https://thesignsofspring.wordpress.com

but nobody in the world can see it but me, because when I click in the pink button marked “launch site,” either nothing happens or I get offered nothing other than a selection of paid plans and a completely new url for my blog. Most of the time, nothing happens, and when something does, it’s something unacceptable.

I don’t need a new url. I’m not interested in a paid plan. If I was, I would have asked for one from the beginning. I’m certainly not going to start shelling out money just because a developer decided to put in a feature just for the sake of having a feature, and he bungled it.

At this point, I’m shrugging, going “this is on them” and walking out the door to enjoy what little remains of a nice day. Please get your corporate act together, and maybe spend a little time dwelling on the famous engineering acronym KISS, which stands for

    “Keep it simple, stupid!”

When you build in a feature just for the sake of having a feature, you get breakdowns like this and would-be users end up tearing out their hear. This was not cool. Please do not fix the “launch” feature. Just get rid of it. It serves no useful purpose and it gets in the way.

If you get this fixed, soon, fine. If not, then to Hell with this. I shouldn’t have to fight your system just to make my blog publicly visible. When that happens, that’s obviously bad design.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

OK, FINALLY it let me launch my blog. After a half hour of pushing that button again and again.

Please. just. get. rid. of. that. feature. yesterday.

Yes, hop into the DeLorean, go back in time, and get rid of it. Please. Before anybody else has this experience.
