Failure to launch custom header for 'The Mystique Theme'.
-
I am trying to upload a custom header on my reigningpress.com ‘The Mystique Theme’, but when I go out to look, it isn’t there. I’ve use the same pic. on my sspjut.com ‘Pilcrow’ and it shows up just fine.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello there!
Mystique has a header image requirement of 940px width by 200px height.
Pilcrow’s custom header dimensions are 770px by 200px for two-column display and 990px by 257px for wide layouts.
I suspect that’s why you’re having trouble. Try to adjust your header image to fit Mystique’s dimensions, and then re-upload to your Media Library. Then reset your header with the new image.
If you do not have photo editing software, you can try an online one like pixlr.com/.
Hope this helps! All the best to you.

The pic will show up on Mystique under – http://landofthefertilecresent.wordpress.com/ but will not show up on Mystique under reigningpress.com (same theme, same pic).

Hello there.
As your sites are currently set up today:
- http://landofthefertilecresent.wordpress.com/ is running iTheme2
- http://reigningpress.com is using the Mystique theme.
If you want reigningpress.com to look like your other site, it will have to run the same theme.
I hope this clears things up…if not, let me know and I’m happy to help further!

I tried running iTheme and Pilcrow on reigningpress.com – same result. The header will not show (I’ve tried several different headers), only the font. I’ve also gone through all the settings to see if i accidentally clicked something I didn’t want. From what I have narrowed it down to, its a domain issue, not theme.

Hi again!
Domains don’t actually impact the appearance of a site. However, I think we can narrow down the problem if you can show it to me in the form of a screenshot.
I don’t believe I am seeing the same issue that you are.
This is what I see at reigningpress.com: https://cloudup.com/iAAIdQJGyG2
And at landofthefertilecresent.wordpress.com: https://cloudup.com/iDG-5gIdA2X
If you could do the same for me, that would be very helpful. Any images that you think best display the issue. You can simply upload the screenshot to your Media Library, like any other image, and I’ll be able to access it from there. Just let me know when I should take a look.
The page at the following link has some helpful tips for taking screenshots:
Additionally, if you could look at your sites in different browsers and let me know if the same thing occurs.
Please be in touch and we’ll get this ironed out so your sites all function as you want!

I’ve uploaded the screen shot using same pic in all three different themes, and url’s. 2 on the left are reigningpress.com; the 1 on the right is landofthefertilecresent.wordpress.com: As you can see, the 2 on the left, header shows no pic. One on the right, pic shows in headers. The only difference – url. I’ve been able to put Mystique on all of my other url’s with same pic and it works. http://reigningpress.com is the only site that does’t allow me to up load a pic into the header no matter what theme or pic I use.

Hello there! Thank you for those images.
I had a colleague look at your sites on his computer/browsers. We both see the same thing:
If you’re not seeing this, I’d like you to attempt a bit of troubleshooting with your browsers.
- It appears as if Chrome is your primary browser. Is it updated to the latest version?
- Take a look at your sites in Firefox and IE and tell us if the same issue occurs.
- Let us know if you see the same thing on a different computer.
- Additionally, please try clearing out your cache and cookies using the guide below?
Let’s start there and move forward. I’m looking forward to hearing from you. Many thanks!

Well, fixed it. Sorry for all the trouble. I forgot I have a auto block on all site pic’s unless I okay the site. Forgot to do this for reigningpress.com.
Thx for all your help. You’ve gone above and beyond :)

You made my day :) I am so relieved to read this! I am thrilled you figured out the trouble.
Wishing you all the best!
