Faint comments and captions not visible

  When I’m commenting on certain WordPress sites, I find the words are very faint and hard to see so I have to highlight my text to see what I’m writing. But when the comment is posted, the font is clearly visible. However, this only occurs on some sites.

  Also, when I’m writing a post in the “improved posting” format, I found recently that my captions for pictures are not showing up, the cursor moves as I type but no words appear. Yet it works perfectly fine on the normal posting format.
