Fake Comments to blogs

    I have continuous obviously fake comments on my site on my blogs. They all have their URLs which are nothing to do with my site. This is annoying. How do I stop this?

    Of what site are you speaking? I don’t see any comments on https://travelgurusue.wordpress.com/, which is the only site in this account.

    The URL that is included with a comment is the website linked to the public WordPress.com profile of the person making the comment. The fact that those URLs have nothing to do with your site doesn’t make the comments fake. It just means that the people reading and commenting on your site don’t necessarily write about the same topics you do.

    And in cases where the comments are clearly spam, you can just mark them as spam, directly from the notifications area, and our spam filters will learn to filter out similar comments automatically in future.
