Fake Followers

  Hello–I’m wondering if anyone else is getting a lot of email ‘followers’ from @outlook.com addresses. It seems a little fishy to me, and I’m not sure where the problem is coming from. It just doesn’t seem like these followers are real, and I’m not sure if there is a security problem somewhere. I don’t want people with hacked emails being upset that they’re somehow subscribed to my blog! Is there something I can/should do to help fix this? Thanks.

  Your followers could be spam followers. The Staff are cleaning them up.

  These follows are spam, but there’s no security issue – there is no way whatsoever that someone can place your account or your site at risk by following your site.

  We are working on blocking these spam follows completely, but for now we recommend you just ignore them.
