Fake users that I cannot delete

  Hello, I am encountering fake users with names like test38925 that I am unable to delete. They give themselves names relating to buying steroids and drug use, which is alarming to see on my website which has nothing to do with these things.

  Hey angelcoffeemars,

  This is considered spam, and yes, it’s extremely annoying. I’m assuming it’s in your comments? Have you installed Akismet plugin? It’s an anti-spam plugin that will help you in your fight against all things spam.

  @angelcoffeemars15056, I don’t see any sites under your account, what’s the address of the site you’re working on?

  Please note that these forums are for WordPress.com-hosted sites only. If your site is using the open-source WordPress.org software, you’ll indeed want to use Akismet to manage Spam for you. Here, on WordPress.com, it is enabled by default.

  Hello, thanks for the replies. My wordpress website is https://starwalker.productions/ and I believe it is through wordpress.org. I am using akismet, but the issue is that fake users have been created that I cannot delete. There are no spam comments that I can see, but I am able to mark the users as spam. The accounts still persist on the website despite being deleted.
