Hi there,
You can either enable or disable the snow and then it will either display not display on your blog or any other WordPress.com blogs you visit. Disable the snow here > https://wordpress.com/#!/settings/
scroll down to:
Snow __ Show falling snow on blogs where it’s enabled. -
http://pghrower.com/ – has snow on it – but it only shows on the header since the rest of your blog is light colored

I take ridiculous pleasure seeing the snow drift over my blog page, while right now this evening, a serious snowy winter blizzard is raging outside.
Slowing down traffic, car accidents, and temperatures have plunged below -25 degrees C (wind chill) with winds over 60 km./hr.

Yup, and I lived through that river flood this summer which evacuated 100,000 residents. I was one of them..it’s in blog.
But I do visit Vancouver, still have stuff and bikes there. Maybe we’ll pass by at a café one day. :)

I’m curious why sometimes the wordpress.com snow falls faster?
I know that moving my cursor left or right changes the direction of snow when I’m logged in..

It’s JavasScript maidiebike and some of the visitors to your blogs will find their browsers crash, unless they have an up to date OS and browser versions. I immediately disabled it as soon as it was introduced way back when.
